Phenotap focuses on enabling biosensing for key bioenergetic metabolites like ketones. Measuring ketones is critical for detecting Diabetes Ketoacidosis (DKA), a potentially lethal condition that impacts T1D patients, and for effectively managing nutritional ketosis with ketogenic diet, fasting and endurance exercise to prevent serious chronic diseases. We have engineered a proprietary enzyme that enables what Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) do for ketones: Continuous Ketone Monitors (CKM).
